Easter Plans

Sorry for not updating this as frequently. We've been busy, and such; you know, being parents, and what not.

So, for Easter Sea and I have plans to go back to our home town in the suburbs of Boston so Lettie can meet her grandparents. I haven't seen my parents since Christmas, so it ought to be quite a reunion. I'm excited.

In case you haven't figured it out, Sea's mom has gotten us a new camera. She is the best mother-in-law ever! I can't wait to see her too.

We've been very busy lately. So, we've had barely anytime to go update this. Lettie got better quickly. It seemed to be a 24 hour bug. Things have been going well except for the fact that Cassie and I have been exhausted all the time. My mother calls it 'New-Mommy Syndrome'. I agree with her.

Someone got sick.

Lettie got sick. Poor thing. She has a fever, and has already threw up. I'm blaming the kids who go to the same babysitter as her. So, I'm home from work all day today. Right now she is laying on the couch, thumb in her mouth, hair sticky with sweat. It's adorable, but sad at the same time. Sea couldn't stay home from work today. She's already taken way too many days off, and with the economy the way it is we both need our jobs desperately. So, I'll be here. I also hacked into Sea's account on the boards, so I'll be there too.

Today was a great day. An amazing day. Lettie is officially moved in! You should have seen her face when she saw all her new toys and clothes. It was better than christmas morning I can tell you that much. Her face just lit up. Sea and I are exhausted! We ran around home all day, chasing Lettie and cleaning up after her. I have work tomarrow, and Sea dosen't. It ought to be fairly interesting when I get home. Well, Mommy and Other Mommy are going to go lay down.

Because of Sea and her anti-descriptive ways, I felt I must explain things better. Sea is laughing as she is reading this over my shoulder. We went to the beach as stated before, and we got ice cream and made sand castles and it was too much fun, as always. We spent the entire afternoon playing tag. That's one for the memories. On the car ride back we started explaining to Lettie that she was going to be living with us now. And she immediately said, "I live wif Mommy and Other Mommy forever? YAY!" It was insanely adorable. It's times like these I wish I had a video camera.

This is Lettie about a month ago. Just felt like sharing. Today was really fun. We went to the beach, but we didn't go swimming. It was way too cold out for that. I'm really happy I could find a sort of recent picture of Lettie on my computer. I can't believe that I dropped the camera in the sink! Oh me...

Meet Lettie

This picture was taken by Sea on the very first day we met Lettie. That was over two years ago. She is the happiest most lovable person we have ever met. We are waiting until noon to go and see her today. Did I mention she is insanely smart? She calls me Mommy already. Sea is known as 'Other Mommy'. I forgot, we've got a babysitter already. We've basically had this babysitter for a year now. The only thing that was missing was the actual baby.

A Day Off

As soon as Sea told me about the idea of a baby journal I had to get in on it. So, we woke up really early this morning and created this blog on our crappy little Dell. I forgot how much I loved the early morning. We watched the sunrise in our backyard sitting on a little blanket with our coffee. It was entirely too romantic. Sea immediately afterward went to paint a picture of it. It's really turning out well. I'll take a picture of it.

Sea and I are taking the day off to spend it with Lettie. Unfortunately, someone broke the digital camera by not taking her time and dropping it in a sink full of water. Only my Sea. So, we now have to wait a few months until we can afford a new one. Right now we are a little strapped for cash, as buying all this baby stuff plus setting aside some for more stuff we'll need later on. So, unfortunately, no pictures for a while. But don't worry, Sea has an old Polaroid camera we will be using.

I would also like to take this chance to thank the PATD Boardies again.

Is this thing on?

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to make sure that this thing is working. According to the experts Lettie will be with us in a week or so. For now we're just getting everything set up.

In liner notes, credit to my newest friends at the PATD Boards. They came up with the whole idea of a baby journal, and got excited with us when we got the call that Lettie was officially ours. Despite the fact I barely know you, I love you guys!
